Pectoralis Major Clavicular: medial half of the clavical. Sternocostal: sternum, 6 upper costal cartilages, apneurosis of the external oblique lateral lip of the bicipital groove & crest below the greater tubercle of humerus both parts adducts and medially rotates arm. Clavicular: flexes arm from full extension. Sternocostal: extends flexed arm
Pectoralis Minor External surface of 3rd, 4th, 5th ribs coracoid process of the scapula draws scapula forward & downward, raises ribs for forced expiration
Subclavius Junction of the 1st rib w/ costal cartilage groove of the inferior surface of the clavicl depresses clavicle&draws shoulder forward & downward
Trapezius medial 3rd fo sup. nuchal line, external occipital protuberance, ligamentum nuchae,spinous processess & supraspinous lig. of C7 & T1-T12 upper: lateral 3rd of clavicle. Middle: acromion& crest of spine of scapula. Lower: medial portion of crest of spine of scapula upper part elevates scapula, middle: retracts scapula,. Lower: depresses scapula, upper & lower parts together rotate scapula
Latissimus Dorsi Spinous processess of T7-T12, lumbar&sacral vert. supraspinal lig. & post. part of iliac crest through lumbar fascia, lower 3 or 4 ribs., infer. < of scapula. Bottom of bicipital groove extends,adducts & medially rotates arm
Levator Scapulae Post. tubercles of transverse processess of C1-C4 medial bord. of scapula @ and above the spine of scapula elevates medial border of the scapula & laterally bends & rotates head
Rhomboid Major spines of T2-T5 vertebrae medial border of scapula @ and above the spine retracts,stabilizes & elevates medial border of scapula
Rhomboid Minor Spines of C7&T1 vertebrae & ligamentum nuchae medial border of the scapula @ the root of the spine rotates & depresses scapula to the lower lat. <
Serratus Anterior outer surfaces & sup. borders of the 1st 8 or 9 ribs Ant. surface of medial bdr. of scapula rotates & protracts scapula
