vulva External opening of reproductive system which helps keep dirt and debris out.
vagina(mammal) Internal female reproductive organ where semen is deposited, part of birth canal and passageway for urine
cervix Seals off uterus by developing a wavy plug during pregnancy to prevent contamination of developing fetus.
uterus Where egg attaches after fertilization and the site of fetal development.
oviduct(mammal) Where egg and sperm meet. Site of fertilization.
ovary Houses and releases egg, and produces estrogen and progesterone, the female sex hormones.
urethra Narrow tube that carries urine from bladder to vagina.
bladder Stores urinary waste.
seasonal polyestrus Female will only cycle during specific times or during certain seasons of the year.
induced ovulators Ovulation will occur only after copulation.
infundibulum Referred to as the funnel which catches the egg when it is released from the ovary and directs it to the oviduct/fallopian tube.
magnum Longest section of the oviduct in an egg layer. The thick white of the egg, called the albumen is added here.
isthmus Part of the oviduct in an egg-layer. Inner and outer shell membranes are added here.
shell gland also called the uterus in an egg laying specie. the shell is placed on the egg here.
vagina (egg-layer) in an egg laying specie this is made of muscle which helps push the egg out of the body
cloaca in an egg laying specie this is also called the vent. This is where the egg as well as urine and feces are excreted from the body.

Uterine Horn Section of uterus which is more pronounced in litter-bearing animals.
Clitoris Stimulated during mating, stimulates discharge for lubrication.
