Adaptation an inherited trait that helps a species survive in its environment.
Physical Characteristics a feature of an animal that is primarily (mostly) sensory; a trait
Acquired Trait A learned trait (ie. language). It is a result of our environment.
Adapt Development of physical and behavioral characteristics that allow organisms to survive and reproduce in their habitats.
Ancestor a parent organism from which an offspring descended

Estivation Similiar to hibernation(shorter duration)
Evolution The process by which life forms change over a number of generations

Hibernation Sleep like state during which breathing and heart rates slow down

Inherited Trait Characteristic resulting from an organism interaction with the environment.
