What is cuticle? The waxy, top surface of a plant that helps keep out water
What is Epidermis? The Epidermis helps keep out germs from the plant.
What is the vascular bundle made up of? It is made up of phloem and xylem.
What is Palisade? Palisade is the layer in a cross section that does most of the photosynthesis.
What are spongy cells? The spongy cells are the layer in the leaf that provide air access to the palisade layer so that photosynthesis can take place.
What is Chloroplast? Chloroplast is the structure in which the chlorophyll is found and where some of the photosynthesis takes place.
What are guard cells? Guard cells control the opening of the bottom of the leaf or the opening and closing of the stoma
What is the stoma? The stoma is the doorway or opening through which gasses pass in and out of the leaf.
