Course | indoors or out, mandatories included for each class |
Loose Lead | The handler has his/her hand on the lead rope in a position which permits the lead rope to form a "J' from the llama's head to the handler's hand |
Tight lead | The lead rope is persistently stretched tight from the handler's hand to the animal's head and is not the result of giving necessary direction on a particular obstacle |
Short Lead | The handler's hand is close to the animal's head, resulting in restriction of movement of the animal's head and neck |
Refusal | Animal refuses to budge, not respond to more forward, steps to side of obstacle or steps back from obstacle. Should not be confused with incomplete. |
Rapport | Animal-human trust. |
Smooth Flow | smooth negotiation and transition through obstacle |
Safety Hazard | When animal or handler does something that can potentially create a hazardous situation for animal or handler |
