O: Anterior superior iliac spine (ASIS). I: Proximal, medial shaft of the tibia, pes anserinus tendon. Sartorius
A: Flexes the hip, laterally rotates the hip, abducts the hip, flex the knee, medially rotate the flexed knee. Sartorius
O: Proximal lateral surface of tibia and interosseous membrane. I: Medial cuneiform, base of the first metatarsal. Tibialis Anterior
A: Inverts the foot. Dorsiflexes the ankle. Tibialis Anterior
O: Cartilage of fifth, sixth, and seventh ribs, and xiphoid process. I: Pubic crest, pubic symphysis. Rectus Abdominis
A: Flexes the vertebral column. Rectus Abdominis
O: Common extensor tendon from lateral epicondyle of humerus. I: Middle and distal phalanges of second through fifth fingers. Extensor Digitorum
A: Extends the second through fifth fingers (metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joints). Assist in extension of wrist (radiocarpal joint). Extensor Digitorum
O: Lateral supracondylar ridge of humerus. I: Styloid process of radius. Brachioradialis
A: Flexes the elbow, assists in pronation and supination of the forearm when these movements are resisted. Brachioradialis

A: Bilaterally: Flexes the vertebral column, compress abdominal contents. Unilaterally: Laterally flexes vertebral column to the same side, rotates vertebral column to opposite side. External Oblique
O: Posterior surface of radius and ulna, deep to extensors. I: Distal phalange of thumb. Extensor Pollicis Longus
A: Extend the thumb (interphalangeal joint), assist in extending the thumb (metacarpophalangeal joints). Extensor Pollicis Longus

O: Oblique Head: Bases of se through fourth metatarsals. Transverse Head: Plantar ligament of third through fifth metatarsophalangeal joints. I: Lateral surface of base of proximal phalange of first toe and lateral sesamoid bone. Adductor Hallucis
A: Assist to maintain transverse arch of foot. Adductor Hallucis
O: Medial half of clavicle, sternum, cartilage of ribs one through six. I: Crest of greater tubercle of humerus. Pectoralis Major
A: Adducts the shoulder, medially rotates the shoulder, may assist in elevating the thorax in forced inhalation (if arm is fixed). Pectoralis Major
O: Third, fourth, and fifth ribs. I: Coracoid process of scapula. Pectoralis Minor
A: Depresses the scapula, abducts the scapula, tilts the scapula anteriorly, assist in forced inhalation (if scapula is fixed). Pectoralis Minor
O: Transverse processes of C2-C7. I: First rib. Scalene
A: Unilaterally: With the ribs fixed, laterally flex the head and neck to the same side, rotates head and neck to the opposite side. Bilaterally: Elevates the ribs during inhalation, flex the neck. Scalene
O: Bodies and transverse processes of lumbar vertebrae. I: Lesser trochanter of the femur. Illiopsoas Major
A: Flexes the hip, laterally rotates the hip, adducts the hip. Illiopsoas Major
O: Sternal Head: Top of manubrium. Clavicular Head: Medial one-third of the clavicle. I: Mastoid process of temporal bone, later superior nuchal line of occiput. Sternocleidomastoid
A: Unilaterally: Laterally flex head and neck to same side, rotate head and neck to opposite side. Bilaterally: Flex the neck, assist in inhalation (elevation of the rib cage). Sternocleidomastoid
O: Inferior ramus of pubis and ramus of ischium. I: Proximal, medial shaft of tibia at pes anserinus tendon. Gracilis
A: Adduct the hip, medially rotate the hip, flex the knee, medially rotate the flexed knee. Gracilis
