Southeastern CNT Chapter 2 T/P and Pain Referral

Refers into the posterior neck at the base of the skull, across the posterior shoulders and across the shoulder blades Trapezius - Middle and Lower Fibers
Refers paricularly toward the lateral end near the acromion, Refers pain to the outer surface of the arm proximal to the elbow Trapezius - Middle Fibers
Refers locally over the muscle, along the medial border of the scapula, across the upper scapula to th back of the upper arm Levator Scapulae
Refers along the medial border of the scapula and over the superior angle of the scapula Rhomboideus
Referral over the anterior shoulder, into the anterior chest and along the volar surface of the arm into the last 3 fingers Pectoralis Minor
Refers over the middle deltoid area and the dorsal forearm Teres Major
Refers over the scapula, behind the axilla, along the posterior arm and into the wrist Subscapularis
Refers over the lateral condyle of the humerus Aconeus
Referral to the side of the chest at the middle of the rib cage, down the ulnar aspect of the arm to the 2 last fingers and just medial to the inferior angle of the scapula Serratus Anterior
Refers along the medial border of the scapula, over the middle and/or anterior deltoid area, and down the radial aspect of the arm into the first 2 or 3 fingers Infraspinatus
Referral over the area of the muscle itself to the inner aspect of the elbow to the area of the middle deltiod and to the area just proximal to supraspinatus Biceps Brachii
