Bones are made of? Water, phosphorus, calcium, collagen, and other minerals.
What do ball and sockets joints do? Allow circular movement.
What to gliding joints do? Allow bones to glide past each other.
What do fixed joints do? They lock bones together and prevent movement.
What do hinge joints do? Allow only back and forth movement.
What does the skeleton do? (1) It shapes and supports the body and protects internal organs.
What does the skeleton do? (2) It is where red blood cells are made.
What do cartilage pads do? They reduce friction and prevent your bone ends from grinding away.
