Science Transport

dif, osmo, endo, and exo.

Diffusion The movement of molecules from an area of high concentration of that type of molecule, to an area of low concentration of that type of molecules, without using energy, until equilibrium is reached.
Osmosis The diffusion of water across a selectively permeable membrane. ( A cell membrane is an example of a selectively permeable membrane.)
Endocytosis The process of particles that are too large to move through the pores in the cell membrane ENTERING the cell, USING ENERGY.
Exocytosis The process of particles that are too large to move through the pres in the cell membrane EXITING the cell, USING ENERGY.
