What is Salutary Neglect? Laws in New England that Britain did not enforce.
What was the Proclamation of 1763? A law that states colonists cannot live anywhere west of the Appalachians.
What was the French and Indian War (7 Years War)? A war between the French and British that lasted 9 years.
What was the Albany Congress? A system for collecting taxes.
What was Pontiacs Uprising? The Ottawa war, it was an effect of the French and Indian war.
How did Salutary Neglect lead to the colonists wanting to revolt against England? The colonists were used to the laws not being enforced. The taxes started to be enforced and the colonists were mad because they had to pay for something they don't get to have.
Spain controlled what part of North America? Middle/South America.
England controlled what part of North America? The thirteen colonies.
France controlled what part of North America? Ohio valley, control of Canada, Mississippi river
Between 1689-1763, what were some conflicts that occurred between Europe and the New World? King Williams war, Queen Annes war, Kind Georges war, War of Jenkins ear, and the Frech and Indian war.
What is the Albany Plan? What year was it? Was it accepted or rejected? It is a system of collecting taxes, it was made in 1754, and it was rejected.
What impact did the French and Indian war have on North America? England became the undisputed power of North America, British colonists looked eagerly to the west, and the proclamation of 1763.
Why did King George issue the proclamation of 1763? He knew it would cause further future conflict.
Why did the time of salutary neglect end? Britain started enforcing a law that the colonists could colonize anywhere past the Appalachians.
