What is a volcano? A volcano is a weak spot in the crust where molten material or magma comes to the surface.
Magma and lava are similar and different. How are they the same? How are magma and lava different? Magma is a molten mixture of rock forming substances, gasses and water from the mantle lava after lava has cooled it forms solid rock.

What is an island arc? An island arc is the curve of an island arc echoes the curve of its deep pecan trench

What is a batholith a type of igneous rock that forms when magma rises into the earth's crust, but does not erupt onto the surface
