Term | Definition |

Map | a flat, 2-dimensional drawing of land and water |
Globe | a spherical scale model o the Earth |
Latitude | geographical coordinate that specifies the north or south of the equator. |
Longitude | distance measured in degrees east or west from an imaginary line that goes from the north pole to the south pole that passes though Greenwich, England. |
Hemisphere | a half of the earth, usually divided into northern and southern halves by the equator, or into western and eastern halves by an imaginary line passing through the poles. |
weather | the state of the atmosphere at a place and time as regards heat, dryness, sunshine, wind, and precipitation. |
climate | the average weather conditions in an area over a long period. |

Sea breeze | Local winds that blow from the sea to the land |
Jet stream | a "river" of air high in the atmosphere |
Cold front | Heavy wind, storms, ect. |
Warm fronts | Light winds, drizzle, ect. |
