Term | Definition |

Air Resistance | The force that acts in the opposite direction to an object moving through the air |
Counterexample | An example that contradicts a conclusion |
Phlogiston | Substance once believed to be the reason items burnt |
Scientific Method | The process of observing, asking questions, and seeking answers through tests and experiments |
Observation | Allows scientists to collect data |
Hypothesis | An educationed guess that attemps to explain an observation or answer a question |
Theory | A hypothesis that has been tested with a significant amount of data |
Scientific Law | A theory that has been tested by and is consistent with generations of data |
Conductivity | The resistance of a wire to electricity producing heat and light |
Superconductivity | The one time belief that if the temperature was lowered enough, there would be no resistance to electricity through a wire |
