What is a labor union? An oragization of workers that tries to improve working conditions, wages, and benefits for its members.
Who earns more: union members, or non-union members? Union Members
Unskilled labor requires: No specialized skills, education, or training.
Skilled labor requires: Specialized abilities and training.
Professional Labor requires: Advanced Skills and education.
What is a strike? An organized work stoppage.
What did the "right-to-work law" try to do? Ban mandoatory union membership.
What were the three main things unions stressed during negotiations? Wages and benefits, working conditions, and job security.
What is collective barganing? The process in which union and company representatives meet to negociate a new labor contract.
What are the 2 main types of workers? Blue collar and white collar.
