Hugo Winckler Was inspired by Hiemrich Schlieman and goes to Turkey to do his own digging. Ends up finding the Hittites city, Hatusha and the Lions gate.

What makes a civilization? Cities, Government, Religon, Social Structer, Writing, and Artistic Activity
How to identify Cities Archeologists would look for tels, or bumps in the land, or also statigrafies in the land as well.
How to identify Governments By looking at the outline of a city you could tell wether it had a government, while also with the presents of coins.
How to identify Religion An easy way to identify religion was through the statues, idols, tempel or symbols
Common gods Furtility
How to identify Social Structer The different buildings within the city itself, whether some where larger or smaller they would the different classes of people
How to identify writing Finding what they wrote on would be a give away, basically anything that has writing is there writing
What did ancient people use for writing? Clay tablets, stones, papias, animal skin
How to identify Artistic Activity By finding the five others you have found artistic activity
What six things do you need to make a civilization ? City Government Religion Social Structure Writing Artistic Activity
Pastoral Nomads People who raised grass feed animals (cattle, sheep, goats), had no home, and mostly likely traveled in a circuit.
Indoeuropian Helped create the languages of Greek, Latin, and Sandskrit. They traveled from Europe all the way down to India
