QuestionAnswer
Concise giving a lot of information clearly and in a few words
Nuance a quality of something that is not easy to notice but may be important
Function to tell a series of events
Negation when a writer provides instances of what something is not
Coherence putting stories together so that they make sense
Mood the emotions that a text evokes from the reader
Point of View the writer's way of deciding who is telling the story to whom
Tone the mood implied by an author's word choice and the way that the text can make a reader feel

Connotation a feeling or idea that a word has, in addition to its literal or main meaning
Pacing is the rate at which a story develops

Diction refers to the words the writer chooses to use
Allegory A story in a story - the hidden story is usually about politics, religion, or morality
