World Bank specialized agency of the United Nations that makes loans to countries for economic development, trade promotion, and debt consolidation
International Monetary Fund international organization with the goal of promoting cooperation and exchange between nations and to aid the growth of international trade
Neoliberalism strategy for economic development that calls for free markets and trade, balanced budgets, and minimal government intervention in the economy
World Trade Organizations (WTO) International body representing 149 countries; negotiates rules for global commerce and promotes free trade; meeting have been the sites for major anti-globalization protests.
North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Free Trade Agreement between the United States, Canada, and Mexico
