Coordinate Grid A grid that is used to plot and name points in a plane using an ordered pair of numbers.
Plotted to place points on a coordinate plane
Table mathematical information organized in columns and rows
X-Value the first term in an ordered pair, is the horizontal position (x axis).
Y-Value the second term in an ordered pair is the vertical position (y axis)
Ordered pair • a pair of numbers used on coordinate planes, grids • the first term is the horizontal position (x axis). • the second term is the vertical position (y axis).
Additive Relationship A pattern in which corresponding values are related by addition.
Multiplicative Relationship A pattern in which corresponding values are related by multiplication.
X Coordinate The first number in an ordered pair, which names the distance to the right or left from the origin along the x-axis.
Y Coordinate The second number in an ordered pair, which names the distance up or down from the origin along the y-axis.
Axes real or imaginary reference line
X Axis A horizontal number line on a coordinate grid.
Y Axis A vertical number line on a coordinate grid.
Intersection Lines that have one and only one point in common.
Input Output Table A table that uses a rule to relate one set of numbers to another set of numbers.
