Louis XVI: Louis XVI was the last King of France before the fall of the monarchy during the French Revolution. Louis spent too much money for his wife and hurt the economy. Called the meeting that started the rev.
Marie Antoinette: Marie Antoinette Josèphe Jeanne was the last queen of France before the French Revolution. She spent France's money on her clothes and pretty things, which hurt the economy.
Maximillian Robespierre: Leader of the rev, beheaded a bunch of people. Told his allies that he had a list of people to behead but wouldn't tell them, so they beheaded him.
Georges-Jacques Danton: Georges Jacques Danton was a French lawyer and a leading figure in the French Revolution. He became a deputy to the Paris Commune, presided in the Cordeliers district, and visited the Jacobin club. Beheaded.
Jean-Paul Marat: A vigorous defender of the sans-culottes, a radical voice. Charlotte Corday assassinated him with a stiletto.
Charlotte Corday: Assassinated Jean-Paul Marat with a knife(stiletto). Beheaded.
Napoleon Bonaparte: French military commander and political leader, rose to prominence during the Fr Rev & led successful campaigns during the Rev Wars. Elected consul for life. Emperor, Bank of France, Catholicism.
Bourgeoisie: The middle class, typically with reference to its perceived materialistic values or conventional attitudes. A capitalist bourgeoisie overthrew the feudal aristocracy in order to remake society according to capitalist interests and values
Sans Culottes: The sans-culottes were the common people of the lower classes in late 18th-century France, a great many of whom became radical and militant partisans of the French Revolution.
Tennis Court Oath A commitment to a national constitution and representative government, taken by delegates at the Estates-General at Versailles.
Declaration of the Rights of Man: A human civil rights document from the French Revolution.

Estates General: Three estates of pre-revolutionary France: clergy, nobility, and commons.
1st Estate: The Clergy- church members
2nd Estate: French citizens who possessed a noble title, either through birth, royal gift or venal purchase
3rd Estate: Was made up of everyone else, from peasant farmers to the bourgeoisie – the wealthy business class.
