Subdue verb - overcome, quieten, or bring under control (a feeling or person)
Unwonted adj - unaccustomed or unusual
Monotonous adj - dull, tedious, and repetitious; lacking in variety and interest.
Reiterate verb - say something again or a number of times, typically for emphasis or clarity.
Compel verb - force or oblige (someone) to do something
Flounder verb - struggle or stagger helplessly or clumsily in water or mud
Imperative adj - of vital importance; crucial
Ebb noun - (of an emotion or quality) gradually lessen or reduce
Imperceptible adj - impossible to perceive
Conflagration noun - an extensive fire which destroys a great deal of land or property
Flotsam noun - the wreckage of a ship or its cargo found floating on or washed up by the sea.
Permptory adv - (especially of a person's matter of actions) insisting on immediate attent or obidience, especially in a brusquely imperious way
poignant adj - evoking a keen sense of sadness or regret.
Appease verb - relieve or satisfy (a demand or a feeling)
