Characterization | Author conveying a character's personality, values, etc. |
Cliche | An overused idea/expression |
Climax | The point in the story when the outcome of the conflict becomes clear |
Comedy | A literary work which is amusing/ends happily |
Conflict | A struggle between forces, can be internal |
Connotation | Associations/implications that go beyond the literal meaning of a word |
Consonance | Repetition of consonant sounds with different vowel sounds in words near each other |
Couplet | 2 consecutive lines of poetry with the same end rhyme and similar length |
Denotation | The literal definition of a word apart from impressions/feelings it creates |
