Why did people immigrants to the USA? there were many reasons that included religious freedom to make money and to have a better life
where did immigrants arrive when they came to the East Coast of the US? they would land on Ellis Island
where did the immigrants arrive on the West Coast? they would arrive on Angel Island
where would immigrants in big cities live? they would often live in neighborhoods with other immigrants who spoke the same language and shared the same culture.
Why did some Americans want immigration to end? Some Americans wanted migration to end because they worried that immigrants would take their jobs they were especially worried because immigrants were willing to work long hours for little pay
