What is Acromegaly? | Abnormal growth of the extremities and face due to too much growth hormone. Often associated with pituitary tumors. |
What is Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis? | Progressive disease of the central nervous system involving the degeneration of motor neurons leading to atrophy of skeletal muscles. |
What is Fibromyalgia? | a chronic pain and hypersensitivity syndrome involving a predictable pattern of bilateral active tender points. |
What is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? | Debilitating fatigue not corrected by sleep, often accompanied by insomnia. |
What is a Herniated Disc? | When the nucleus or surrounding fibrous tissue of an inter-vertebral disc protrudes into the nerve roots, cauda equina or spinal cord itself. |
What is Marfan's Syndrome? | A genetic disorder of the connective tissue. Marfan's traits are atypical height, long limbs and fingers. Complications include defects of the heart valves and aorta, lungs , dura mater, eyes and skeleton. |
What is Multiple Scleroisis (MS)? | An idiopathic disease affecting the myelin sheath of neurons in the central nervous system. Symptoms can include progressive loss of motor control, sensation and vision, spasticity and eye pain. |
What is Myositis Ossifificans? | Bony deposit in soft tissue. |
What is Osgood-Schlatter Disease? | Extremely painful irritation of the insertion of the patellar ligament's tibial insertion during the time of adolescent growth spurts. |
What is Neuritis? | A disease of the peripheral nervous system, such as Bell's palsy, characterized by sensory or motor disturbances. |
What is Torticollis (wry neck) | Unilateral spasm of the neck muscles. Causes flexion and rotation of the head and neck, cervical spine subluxation may be present. |
