Certified Nurse Midwife game!

QuestionAnswer
Who do Certified Nurse Midwives treat? Women of all ages.
What degree does a person need to have to become a CNM? A masters in a nurse-midwifery program.
What is the national Certified Nurse-Midwife Examination? A certification exam that future nurse-midwives need to pass in order to get their license.
What do CNM's do? Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat medical conditions, and may write prescriptions for certain conditions. They also advise and counsel.
How much do CNM's make? Between $60k-$140k/year.
Where do CNM's work? Most work in HMO's; private practices and birth centers. However, some work in public clinics
Do CNM's assist in child birth? Yes; they even provide care after childbirth.
What are some good skills to become a successful CNM? Communication, team player, and an interest in the physical and psychological stages of pregnancy and birth.
What are working hours for a CNM? Standard is around 37.5 hours/week including nights, early starts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What are some working conditions of CNM's? Almost always work indoors, are exposed to diseases and infections (wear safety!), can be places in conflict situations where parents are angry, work in noisy environments, can be stressful.
