Inferior Attitude A feeling of failure to meet a standard of quality, ability, or achievement
Interdependence Unable to exist or survive without each other
Mature attitude Showing the mental, emotional, or physical characteristics associated with a fully developed adult person
Self-concept A complete and individual personality, especially one that somebody recognizes as his or her own and with which there is a sense of ease
Transferable skills A skill that is not limited to a specific academic discipline, area of knowledge, job, or task and is useful in any work situation, e.g. communication or organizational skills
Completeness An expression implying inclusion of all that is needed for the integrity, perfection, or fulfillment of writing/thought.
Concreteness An expression in which all facts are definite, informative, vivid, and interesting.  
Courtesy A pleasant act or expression. An expression of respect, polite or considerate act.
Consideration A thoughtful or sympathetic regard/respect for others. A thought or opinion produced by reflections; attention, deliberation, or mediation.
Conciseness An expression implying clarity but compactness in the briefest possible number of words.  
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Is a test developed and maintained by the United States Department of Defense.
Cooperative Education A school program that allows students to receive academic credit for career work in the student's field of interest done outside the school
Dual enrollment Involves students being enrolled in two separate, academically related institutions. Generally, it refers to high school students taking college courses.
Post-Secondary education after high school.
Informal Learning organized learning outside of the formal education system; tend to be short-term, voluntary, and have few if any prerequisites.
Secretary's Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills (SCANS) appointed by the Secretary of Labor to determine the skills our young people need to succeed in the world of work.
Interpersonal Skills concerning or involving relationships between people
Attainment The action or fact of achieving a goal toward which one has worked
Active listening The practice of paying close attention to a speaker and asking questions to ensure full comprehension
Formal Learning Highly institutionalized, bureaucratic, curriculum driven, and formally recognized with grades, diplomas, or certificates
Changing Economy a transformation that occurs within an economy that either increases, sustains, or depletes its vitality.
Competency The quality of being adequately or well qualified in a skill or ability.
Credential A professional or industry certification proving a person's qualifications, awarded for occupational competency typically by passing an exam.
Diverse Economy Economy composed of many ethnic, as well as socioeconomic and gender, groups.
Economic Cycle The natural fluctuation of the economy between periods of expansion and contraction. Factors such as gross domestic product, interest rates, levels of employment and consumer spending help to determine the current stage of the economic cycle.
Family changes A family change is one of the types of life changes. It a change that is related to one's family.
Occupational Changes An occupational change is one of the types of Life Changes. It is a change that is related to work.
Health Changes A health change is one of the types of life changes. There are many types of health changes that can impact one's life.
Constructive Criticism a helpful way of giving feedback that provides specific, actionable suggestions.
Destructive Criticism Criticism performed with the intention to harm someone, derogate and destroy someone's creation, prestige, reputation and self-esteem.
Personal Care refer to supporting with personal hygiene and toileting, along with dressing and maintaining your personal appearance.
Work Roles a channel, which brings personal and work related behaviour and personal and work related contextual horizons together, and funnels their combined impact on the work and subsequently on the work related tasks and their outcome.
Leisure opportunity afforded by free time to do something
Community a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common.
Development Change Developmental change is the process of change that occurs in human beings throughout development.
