Stammer speak with sudden involuntary pauses and a tendency to repeat the initial letters of words.
Haggard looking exhausted and unwell, especially from fatigue, worry, or suffering.
Egwugwu The egwugwu are masked dancers that represent the nine ancestral spirits of Umuofia. These masked ancestral spirits are enigmatic in nature and comprise of nine revered village elders, who ceremonially gather to administer justice.
Harmttan a very dry, dusty easterly or northeasterly wind on the West African coast, occurring from December to February
Loafer a person who idles time away.
Kola A tree, genus Cola, bearing large brown seeds ("nuts") that are the source of cola extract. A nut of this tree. (rare, dated) Alternative form of cola (“drink made with kola nut flavoring”)
Ekwe An Ekwe is an Igbo traditional musical instrument. The ekwe is a type of drum with rectangular cavity slits in the hollowed out wooden interior.
Udu The udu is a plosive aerophone (in this case implosive) and an idiophone of the Igbo of Nigeria. In the Igbo language, ùdù means 'vessel'.
Ogene Ogene is a style of Igbo music consisting of, and taking its name from, the ogene instrument, which is a large metal bell.
