Habit 7 Sharpen the Saw

QuestionAnswer
In what way do you think if you have Habit 7? "I must continuously renew my body, mind, heart, and spirit if I want to be healthy and happy."
Why can you not avoid renewal? Renewal is a principle, you can't change it.
What are the four basic human needs that require attention everyday? Physical, Social-emotional, Mental, and Spiritual.
What are some examples of physical health? Food, Exercise, Sleep, Hydration, Regular checkups, and hygiene
What are some examples of social-emotional health? Friends, Family, Study groups, and Social Media
What are some examples of mental health? Schoolwork, Class discussions, Lectures, Journals, Literature, and Skill development
What are some examples of spiritual health? Service, Meditation, Art, Music, Nature, Inspirational reading, and Religious worship
What are the things you can do to sharpen your physical saw? Make sure you get plenty of sleep, make sure you are eating right, and make time to exercise.
What are some things you should try to do for at least just a few minutes? Clear your mind, Work your heart, Lift weights, or take a break
How can you sharpen your social/emotional saw? Take a break, build friendships, date intelligently, and take time for yourself
What are some ideas for staying mentally sharp? Stay well rounded and Be a lifelong learner
What are some ideas to sharpen your spiritual saw? reflecting on your personal mission statement and goals, meditating, spending time in nature, listening to inspiring music, writing poetry, doing service, thinking deeply about what matters, or writing in a journal
