When do you use the verb lie? When the subject is doing the reclining
Use lie or lay when a sentence requires the past participle with a "being" verb helper - was, were, be, or been? Lay. Ex: This foundation for our new warehouse was laid yesterday.
Past tense for rise. Past participle? Present participle? rose, risen, rising
Use the verb lie, sit, or rise when the subject is (blank) reclining
