Human Heart

talks about the human heart

QuestionAnswer
What does the superior vena cava do? It is a large vien which returns blood to the heart from the head, neck, and both upper limbs.
What does the Inferior vena cava do? It is the large vein that carries deoxygenated blood from the lower half of the body into the heart.
What does the Aortic arch do? It connects the ventral arterial system to the dorsal arterial system.
What does the Pulmonary trunk do? It carries venous blood from the right ventricle of the heart and divides into the right and left Pulmonary arteries.
What does the Left Atrium do? It recives oxygenated blood from the pulmonary veins, and pumps it into the left venetricle.
What does the Right Atrium do? It receives deoxygenated blood from the superior vena cava, inferior vena cava, and coronary sinus.
What does the left Ventricle do? It recieves oxygenated blood from the Left Atrium via the mitral valve, and pumps it into the aorta.
What does the Right Ventricle do? It receives deoxygenated blood from the right atrium via the tricuspid valve, and pumps it into the pulmonary artery.
What does the Appex do? It is the bottom of the heart that pumps blood to the ventricles and the ventricular septum.
What does the Pulmonary arteries do? They carry blood from the heart to the lungs.
What does the Pulmonary veins do? They carry blood from the lungs to the left atrium of the heart.
