Action, Linking, and Helping Verbs

How do you describe what a linking verb is? It is a word that connects the subject to the predicate, but is NOT something that can be acted or physically done.
Is, am, was, were, are, and be are usually what kind of verb? Linking
How do you describe what a helping verb is? It is a word that helps an action verb by making it more specific, it is never alone and is always part of a verb phrase
What are the four main categories (types) of helping verb words? -ould words (could, should, etc.), forms of be (is, am, was, etc.), forms of have, and forms of do
What is the verb phrase in the following sentence: We should fix that right now. should fix
What is the last word in a verb phrase going to be? An action verb

Explain what a verb phrase is. A verb phrase is a combination of helping verbs and an action verb that work together in a sentence. They are usually 2-3 words long and the action verb is always at the end.
