what is the thoracolumbar fascia ? a big broad, flat sheath of fascial tissue
Erector spinae "Location" - origin & insertion Either side of the spine top to bottom - sacrum, illium, ribs & vertabrae - base of the skull, ribs & vertabrae

what is the erector spinae ? a group of muscles and tendons which run more or less the length of the spine on the left and the right from the sacrum to the base of the skull
Gluteus Maximus "Location" - origin & insertion Buttocks - Coccyx,sacrum & iliac crest - Upper Femur & ITB (illotial band)
Gluteus Maximus - "Primary concentric actions" Extension of the hip, external rotation & abduction of the hip
What does ITB stand for - Illotial band
Where is the ITB (illotial band) located begins at the iliac crest (the border of the most prominent bone of the pelvis) in the pelvis and runs on the lateral or outside part of the thigh until it attaches into the tibia (shinbone)
Gastrocnemius "Location" - origin & insertion Calf - Posterior lower femur - calcaneus
Gastrocnemius - "Primary concentric actions" Plantar flexion of the ankle & flexion of the knee
Soleus "Location" - origin & insertion lower calf to ankle - upper posterior tibia - calcaneus
Soleus - "Primary concentric actions" plantar flexion of the ankle
Hamstrings "Location" - origin & insertion Back of the thigh - Ischium & posterior surface of femur - head of the fibula & upper medial surface of the tibia
Hamstrings - "Primary concentric actions" extension of the hip, flexion of knee & tilting pelvis posteriorly
