Sutures fibrous joint, close bony junction, found b/w large plate-like bones of skull
Synchondrosis cartilaginous joint, hyaline cartilage, found only in children
Symphysis cartilaginous joint, fibrocartilage, make up inervertebral discs & the symphisis pubis
Fibrous Membrane/Capsular Ligament external layer, thickened continuation of the periosteum
Synovial Membrane internal layer, connects margins of one articular cartilage to the margins of the opposite articular cartilage, forming with it
Synovial Fluid coats and lubricates the articular cartilage
Meniscus partially divides a joint
Ligaments made of dense regular CT, attach bone to bone
Bursae fluid filled sac that reduces friction
Retinaculum holds tendon in place, prevents it from being displaced upward away from the joint
Synovial Sheath wraps around a tendon to protect it from friction on all sides
