Characterization
Term | Definition |

protagonist | the character the story is about, often seen as the hero, or good person |
antagonist | the character or opposing force that hold the action back; usually seen as the villain or bad guy |
central character | the character that is significant, and the story revolves around their actions and emotions |
minor character | a lesser character who the story does not center around, but who helps fill out the story |
dynamic | a character that undergoes an important change in the story |
static | a character that does not change from the beginning to the end of the story |
round | a character that is well developed, and we know a lot about them |
flat | a character that is not well developed, and there is not a lot of information about them |
characterization | the method an author uses to develop a character |
