what is a example of homeostasis? a lg part of the internal environment consists of the fluid surrounding the cells, interstitial fluid. Homeostasis ensures interstitial fluid remains at 98-99* . each body system contributes to homeostasis.
What is another example of homeostasis? Cardiovascular system delivers oxygen, nutrients, hormones, water ect... to the tissues, and removes metabolic waste from tissues.
give a example of Homeostasis being dynamic over a very narrow range. the glucose doesn't change very much when we are hungry or full
what is the control of homeostasis? the homeostasis mechanisms of the body are under the control of two main systems.
what are the two control systems for homeostasis? the nervous system and the endocrine system.
give the definition of the nervous system. it detects changes from the balanced state and sends nerve impulses to organs that can counteract the change.
give a example of the nervous system. when the body temp. rises nerve impulses cause sweat glands to release more sweat which cools the body.
what is the definition of the endocrine system? corrects the changes by secreting hormones into the blood. Hormones target specific body cells that they cause to restore homeostasis.
give a example of Endocrine system. the hormone insulin reduces blood glucose level when it is too high.
