Movements of the bod

QuestionAnswer
What is abduction? A movement that moves a limb laterally away from the body.
What is adduction? A movement that brings a limb medially twords the body's midline.
What is circumduction? A combination of flexion, extension, adduction and abduction.
What is dorsiflexion? Ankel movement (letting off the cars gas)
What is extension? The movement that straightens or opens the joint.
What is flexion? The movement that bends a joint or brings the bones closer together.
What is lateral flexion? When the head and vertebral column Bend laterally to the side.
What is lateral rotation? A limb at the shoulder or hip swings away from the midline.
What is medial rotation? A limb at the shoulder or hip turns in toward the midline.
What is plantar flexion? Ankle movement stepping on the cars gas pedal.
What is pronation? A movement when the radius crosses over the ulna.
What is rotation? The head and vertebral column along the transverse plane.
What is supination? a movement bringing the radius and ulna parallel to one another.
