What is abduction? | A movement that moves a limb laterally away from the body. |
What is adduction? | A movement that brings a limb medially twords the body's midline. |
What is circumduction? | A combination of flexion, extension, adduction and abduction. |
What is dorsiflexion? | Ankel movement (letting off the cars gas) |
What is extension? | The movement that straightens or opens the joint. |
What is flexion? | The movement that bends a joint or brings the bones closer together. |
What is lateral flexion? | When the head and vertebral column Bend laterally to the side. |
What is lateral rotation? | A limb at the shoulder or hip swings away from the midline. |
What is medial rotation? | A limb at the shoulder or hip turns in toward the midline. |
What is plantar flexion? | Ankle movement stepping on the cars gas pedal. |
What is pronation? | A movement when the radius crosses over the ulna. |
What is rotation? | The head and vertebral column along the transverse plane. |
What is supination? | a movement bringing the radius and ulna parallel to one another. |
