Mercury | The planet closest to the Sun. Currently, it is the smallest planet. |
Sun | A huge star in the center of the universe. |
Venus | A very gaseous planet that is second closest to the Sun. |
Earth | The third planet closest to the Sun. The surface of it is about 75% water. This is the planet that currently only as living life forms. (As far as we know.) |
Mars | The "red planet". Ice and fossilized life forms have been found which could mean there was previously life on it. |
Jupiter | The largest planet. There have been storms raging on it for many, many years! |
Saturn | The second- largest planet and the sixth from the Sun. It has many rngs around it making it a beautiful sight. |
Uranus | The seventh planet from the Sun. It is actually tipped sideways. |
Neptune | The eigth (and final) planet. It has four rings. |
Comets | Small, fragile, and irregularly shaped bodies composed of a mixture of non-volatile grains and frozen gases. |
Asteriods | Rocky and mettalic objects that orbit the sun, but are too small to be called planets. |
