7 - II Corinthians

Key points in each chapter

QuestionAnswerHint
II Corinthians 1 "Father of mercies and God of all comfort...." Pauls thanksgiving and start of message concerning his ministry. A tall oak tree with a crowned clock swinging high in the branches. At the base of the tree, Paul is kneeling down giving thanks. His prayer begins "Father of mercies and God of all comfort...."
II Corinthians 2 Pauls appeal to reaffirm their love to man in I Cor. 5 who has repented. Christ causes us to triumph in our ministry as a sweet fragrance -- an aroma from life to life for believers, but an aroma from to death to death to those unsaved. A man (the one confronted in I Corinthians 5)standing in triumph waving his shoes, the smell of which is raising some people from the dead, and killing others!
II Corinthians 3 "You are our LETTER..." Ministry based on the NEW COVENANT of the Spirit not the letter. "Not that we are adequate..." "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is LIBERTY. But we all with unveiled face beholding as in a MIRROR the glory of the Lord..." A crowned person looking at a letter written ontop of a stool, in front of a miror.
II Corinthians 4 "the god of this world has BLINDED THE MINDS of the unbelieving.." "We have this TREASURE in EARTHEN VESSELS..." "We are afflicted in every way BUT NOT..." "For MOMENTARY LIGHT AFFLICTION is producing for us...." Someone being afflicted while driving his car carrying an earthen vessel full of treasure. All the unbelievers standing around have a blank look on their faces because their minds are blinded.
II Corinthians 5 "If the earthly TENT which is our house is torn down, we have a BUILDING from God." "The love of Christ CONTROLS us..." "Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATURE..." "We are AMBASSADORS for Christ..." A new creature is seen tearing down a tent to replace it with a building seen coming down out of heaven. He is being controled by a heart with a cross in it.
II Corinthians 6 Give NO OFFENSE in the ministry. "But in everything commending ourselves as SERVANTS OF GOD, in, in, in, in by, by..." Do not be BOUND TOGETHER with UNBELIEVERS. "Come out from their midst and be SEPARATE..." Paul, holding a revolver, surrounded by servants of God,shoots into the air to make his point strongly not to be bound together with unbelievers. Each round sounds like this, "in,in,in,by,by,by." He has a clock and a crown dangling from wrists.
II Corinthians 7 Corinthians' response to Paul's letter. Sorrow according to the will of God (repentance) vs. the sorrow of the world (death). A group of crowned clocks rolling a dice to decide how to reply to Paul's letter. They are sad at the result.
II Corinthians 8-9 GIVING - "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor..." "Now this I say, he who sows sparingly...God loves a CHEERFUL GIVER." A crowned spider cheerfully holding a clock to remind others that they must give.
II Corinthians 10 Paul answers his accusers regarding his writing and preaching. "We are destroying SPECULATIONS and every LOFTY THING...taking every thought CAPTIVE to the obedience of Christ." "We are not BOLD to CLASS or COMPARE OURSELVES..." Paul boldly using his toes to destroy lofty things, while comparing them with others.
II Corinthians 11 Paul's unwilling boasting. The listing of his hardships endured -- labors, imprisonments, shipwrecked, dangers, rods, stoned...." Paul, stretching a large banner containing a list of his hardships between two goal posts. On one goalpost is a clock; on the other is a crown.
II Corinthians 12 Paul's VISIONS and REVELATIONS support his apostleship. "I know a man in Christ, who 14 years ago..." His THORN IN THE FLESH. His concern not to be a BURDEN to any of them. Paul has a vision of a man being weighted down my eggs under his skin which are uncomfortable.
II Corinthians 13 Paul's warning to examine yourself. "Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith..." "Finally brethren rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you." A whitch exhorting you to examine yourself, and to be made complete, like-minded, live in peace...

II Corinthians 8-9 SECTION: GIVING A crowned spider cheerfully holding a clock to remind others that they must give.
