SYNTAX: The study of the rules for the formation of grammatical sentences in a language, the way in which linguistic elements( as words) are put together to form constituents( as phrases or clauses) Simple definition of syntax: the way in which words are put together to form phrases, clauses or sentences.
What is syntax?(the aim of this study is to show you what syntactic structure is and the rules that determine syntactic structure are like. Syntax is the study of sentence patterns of language. Syntax is the part of the grammar that represents a speaker's knowledge of the structure and formation.
