Evaporation When a liquid turns to a gas
Transpiration When water is released from leaves on trees
Condensation When a gas turns to liquid
Precipitation When liquid falls from clouds (rain, snow, sleet, etc.)
Infiltration When water penetrates the ground
Runoff When rain water runs off a hill or mountain into a lake or stream
Porosity How wet something is
Density Mass/Volume=Density
Universal Solvent A substance that is able to dissolve almost all other substances
