Why did Parliament in England create the Proclamation Act of 1763? Native Americans who lost in the French and Indian war still wanted their land. Tribes fought against the settlers. King of England and Parliament didn't want to spend any more $ on soldiers and they wanted to do fur trade with the Indians.

Colonist thought tax unfair. Colonist had no representation in Parliament about the tax. Eventually boycott worked.

What was the Tea Act? Tax on tea from the East India Tea company(British business). Tax was low and cost of tea was low. Colonist weren't asked AGAIN, and this Tea tax hurt local business. So formed committees of Correspondence, boycotts and violence (tar and feathering)
What was an effect of the Tea Act? The Boston Tea Party. "Son's of Liberty" dressed up like Native Americans and dumped 342 chests of tea off ships in the Boston Harbor.
What effect did the Boston Tea Party on the colonies? It led to the Intolerable Acts or called The Coercive Acts. British King/ Parliament closed the Boston harbor until the damaged tea was paid. King also took away colonial local government. Colonist felt this was oppressive. 1st continental congress met.
