Major achievements of Renaissance and reformation

What was the renaissance movement? A rebirth of ideas list during the middle ages like Greek, roman, egyptian sciences.
How did the Renaissance begin? Began because of the Crusades. People in Europe came in contact with other countries and cultures . Europe began to trade. Europeans became rich and began to support others to invent new things in arts and sciences.
What are some achievements of the European renaissance? ART= Michelangelo (last supper), DiVinci's (Mona Lisa), LITERATURE=Shakespeare, SCIENCE= galileo's scientific method, copernicus (earth revolves around the sun. Inventions like the printing press.
How did the invention of the printing press ( by Gutenberg) change Europe? Could mass produce books . Books became cheaper to own since so many were printed. Helped spread new ideas, knowledge and learning.
What is the Reformation? A movement which challenged the power and abuse of the catholic church. Martin Luther started the Reformation.
What is the protestant reformation? Started by Martin Luther. He nailed his 95 thesis or complaints about the catholic church to their church doors. Church refused to change. So martin luther started a new branch of christian called Protestants. Believes only had to obey the bible.
What changes did the Protestant reformation cause? The Catholic church tried to murder all Protestant. This cause some kings to become protestant ( king Henry of England/ Queen Elizabeth). This led to war between countries about which Christian religion should have power in that country.
