What achievements were made during the Gupta empire? zero, Indian-Arabic numbers, algorithms, sacred texts, surgery, plastic surgery, and more
Who was Krishna? Teacher of the world; one of the Hindu deities
What did Indian astronomers learn about the earth? It is round and goes around the world.
What were the Mahabharata and Ramayana? Sacred texts that tell about warriors and their great deeds
Who was Asoka? The Mauryan's dynasty's greatest king who rejected violence and embraced Buddhism.
What was the first urban civilization in Ancient India? Indus
What two rivers make up India's river valley? Indus River and Ganges River
What are the four castes of India? Brahman (priests), Kshatriya (warriors and rulers), Vaishya (merchants, landowners, artisans), Sudras (hired work and servants)
What people group are not a part of the caste system? Untouchables
