Matter -Anything that has mass+volume
Property -Something that can be observed ex. color, texture, hardness, etc.
Solid -A type of liquid under 0 Celsius -The densest state of matter
Liquid -A liquid at room temp ex. water, milk, juice, etc.
Gas -A type of liquid above 100 Celsius
Atom -too small to see -mostly empty space
Electron -Negatively charged subtomic particle outside of the nucleus -# of electrons = # of protons
Proton -Positively charged subtomic particle inside the nucleus -# of protons=# of electrons
Neutron -the center of an atom -made up of protons
Nucleus -Center of an atom -Protons and Neutrons found here
Element -a material that can not be broken down into anything simpler by chemical reactions -118 known elements
Periodic Table -the table of all the known elements
