triumph means a great victory, success, or achievement.
decipher means to figure out something that is written in code or is hard to understand.
crime means something that is against the law.
exhibit means to show something to the public.
confide means to tell someone a secret.
specimen means a sample, or an example used to stand for a whole group.
hieroglyphics means writing used by ancient Egyptians, made up of pictures and symbols.
ancient means very old.
scholar means a person who has a great deal of knowledge.
amphibian means a cold-blooded animal with a backbone that lives in water an breathes with gills when young. As an adult, it develops lungs and lives on land. Frogs, toads, and salamanders are amphibians.
temple means a building used for worship.
uncover means to reveal something; to make something known.
frustrate means to make someone feel helpless or discouraged.
reference means a book, magazine, etc., that you can use in order to produce a piece of work.
