Measuring solids (TRAINS)

What is Mass? The amount of matter in an object.
What is Matter? Anything that takes up space and has mass.
What are the states of matter? Plasma, solid, liquid, gas.
What is mL? The measurement of volume of a liquid in the metric system.
How is mass measured? Grams.
What is an example of an object with mass but not weight. Helium.
What is the displacement method? The method using mL and a beaker or graduated cylinder to find the volume of a solid.
What tool is used to measure mass? A triple beam balance.
What tool is used to measure solids? A meter stick for regular shaped soilds or a beaker or graduated cylinder for irregular objects.
What is cm3? A measurement in the metric system that is used when measuring volume of a solid.
