Describe how students should take notes using the linear method. You should write your "key concept" on top of the page, record main ideas in the left margin. Under your main ideas you should indent and have your secondary ideas and indent further for major and supporting ideas also adding indentions.
Explain the concept map used in note taking. The "key concept" should be in the center of your page while main ideas and supporting details branch outward. The information closest to the middle should hold more importance while showing the relationship they have to one another.
