catechism 93-109

Who is Jesus? Jesus is God who became a man, our Savior.
What is a savior? The only one who saves us from our sins.
Is Jesus man or God? He is both a perfect man and perfect God.
What is special about the birth of Jesus? He was born oof the virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit.
What did Jesus so when He lived almost 2000 years ago? He taught His disciples, cared for the poor and died on a cross to atone for out sins.
What does it mean to atone for our sins? It means that Jesus took the punishment we deserved by dieing on the cross so we could have a relationship with God.
What happened after Jesus died? After lying in a tomb, He arose again and defeated death.
Who is the Holy Spirit? He is the third person of God the Trinity.
What is Pentecost? The birthday of the church when the Holy Spirit filled the believers of Jesus.
When did the Holy Spirit come as Jesus promised? At the Jewish festival of Pentecost, fifty days after the resurrection of Jesus.
How does the holy spirit make people holy? He convicts and cleanses people of sin, teaches and guides, gives us spiritual power, and gives us spiritual gits and the fruit of the spirit.
What does the Holy Spirit do today? He makes people holy.
What is the fruit of the spirit? Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control
What is a gift of the spirit? An ability given to us by the Holy Spirit to help fulfill the great comission.
What is the Great commission? Instructions Jesus gave His disciples to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey His teachings.
What is the witness of the Spirit? An inner awareness that out faith is pleasing to God.
How can the Holy Spirit help me? He can help me love God and His will with a whole heart.
