QuestionAnswer
What is an alien? A person who lives in a country but is not a citizen.
What is a full partner? Somebody who shares all of the rights in a group.
What is a citizen? Someone who is a member of a country.
What is a naturalized citizen? A foreign born person who becomes a citizen.
What is Congress? The group of people who make our country's laws.
What is the preamble? A statement that tells us the purpose of the Constitution.
What is a privilege? A special right given to some people.
What is a dictator? A head of a country who has all of the power.
What is a colony? A country or land that is owned and run by another country.
What is a colonist? A person who lives in a country that is run by another country.
What is trade? Business or trade.
What is representation? Having someone in government who looks out for your interests.
What is independence? Freedom
What is a rebel? A person who fights against one's own government.
What is a revolution? A rapid & sudden change.
What is the Revolutionary War (American Revolution)? The war that we fought for independence from England.
What is pursuit? The search for something.
What is a document? An important paper that tells about an agreement or something to be noticed.
What does it mean to approve something? To make something official by agreeing to it.
What is a militia? A military group that protects the citizens of a state.
What does foreign mean? Any country besides our own.
What are the Articles of Confederation? The U.S.'s first constitution.
What does it mean to revise? To change something
What is a convention? A gathering of people, like a meeting.
