Insect Arthropods with three body sections, six legs, one pair of antennae, and usually one or two pairs of wings.
Thorax Insect's midsection.
Complete Metamorphosis Type of metamorphosis characterized by four dramatically different stages.
Pupa When an insect goes from a larva to an adult.
Gradual Metamorphosis Second type of metamorphosis and has no distinct larval stage.
Nymph A stage of metamorphosis that looks like an adult insect but without wings.
