How the idea Influence us

What Was Hobbes idea of the social contract? People give up some of their rights for the protection of the government because people are selfish
Why does Hobbes think Social contract this is a great idea? Because to much rights would make them selfish
What was Locke's idea of natural law? Rights that all people have which is life, liberty, and ownership.
Why does Locke think Natural Law is a good idea? because it justifies revolution
What was Locke's idea OF social contract? so gov can protect the rights of people when they give up some of their rights
Why does Locke think social contract is a good idea? So he can have the protection of the government
What was Montesquieu idea of separation of powers? each branch would act to limit the power of the other branches
Why Montesquieu think this is a good idea? Because they have equal power between branches
What was Rousseau idea of popular sovereignty/social contract? the will of people
Why does Rousseau think this is a good idea? because a lot of the idea come from Thomas Paine's book, 'Common Sense'
